Fernando Ivan Zurita brings over 20 years of leadership in biomanufacturing, process engineering, and supply chain management within the life sciences sector. As the Founder and Principal Consultant of Zilyc, he draws on deep technical expertise and a proven track record of operational excellence to help organizations navigate complex challenges in IVD, biotech, and medtech manufacturing.

Prior to founding Zilyc, Fernando served as Head of IVD Engineering and Cartridge Manufacturing Operations at HP, where he led cross-functional teams and oversaw critical manufacturing initiatives. Before HP, he managed all UK and European operations at Sense Bio/Sherlock Biosciences and spent six years at Myriad Genetics, where he directed Technical Operations, Purchasing Controls, Material Management, Reagent Production, and Quality Control.
His work has consistently intersected with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, with a focus on FDA and ISO-compliant systems supporting IVD product development and commercialization.
Fernando holds a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from San Diego State University. His passion lies in building agile, compliant, and scalable systems that empower scientific discovery and operational growth.
Karim Zurita is a senior-level web designer and front-end developer with over 20 years of experience creating sophisticated, user-focused digital experiences. As Director of Digital Solutions at Zilyc, he leads efforts to help life sciences, biotech, and medtech organizations strengthen their digital presence through custom web design, branding, and SEO.
